CONSULTATION DETAILS
Please note that David is likely in a time zone different from yours. David's legal residence is Minnesota, but he frequently travels in Asia. As a convenience to international consultees, David schedules all appointments using ICT, or Indochina Time, so you'll have to translate that to your time zone, and don't forget Daylight Savings Time -- which doesn't affect ICT.
Please also note David's schedule is typically full but if you don't mind being on a waiting list, do contact us with questions, and we'll be happy to put you on a waiting list. For scheduling, please contact Nicholas O'Madden, who can answer just about any question. nickomadden@yahoo.com. Of course you can contact David too, davidmcpheephd@gmail.com
David provides limited educational hypothetical case discussion for psychologists and other psychotherapists.
When in a county that does not permit visitors to engage in any work, volunteer or otherwise, David is available for friendly conversations with psychotherapists met on Quora or other media, and never receives personal payment of any kind. Friends make a donation directly to charity he supports.
Some consultees are early in their careers. Others are established master therapists. Both seek challenge and growth, some in honing basic skills, others in exploring new areas, or simply formulating fresh approaches to challenging cases.
Although this service has been incorrectly called “supervision,” it is not administrative in any way and simply means looking at hypothetical cases together. In no way does it suggest that the informal consultant takes on any responsibility for any clinician, client or case: indeed clients and cases are typically presented hypothetically or as composites, with no identifying information.
David prefers regularly scheduled conservations, typically weekly or bi-weekly for a period of time, vs. ad-hoc consultations. There is also a free, mandatory monthly group session for practicing psychotherapists
David provides these educational conversations free of charge, but requests that users make what they feel is an appropriate donation between $50 USD and $150 USD to a grass-roots charity he supports, for each scheduled 50 minute video session, even if you cancel 48 hours or less before the time, or extended written consultation. Some established therapists donate the amount they charge for an hour of clinical work. In case of financial hardship, the minimum donation is $35 USD.
Since the charity relies on your donations, please understand you will be charged, even if you cancel in the two days before your scheduled time, or are unavailable at the time set. My services are free, but Project WIN counts on every contribution even if something comes up beyond your control.
